This supplement to the Nomad Internet Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your financial account information when you choose to link a bank account to your Nomad Internet account for purposes such as ACH payments, account verification, or fraud prevention.
This supplement applies only to users who connect a bank account via Plaid.
When you connect your bank account through our Services, Nomad Internet uses a third-party service provider, Plaid Inc., to securely access and verify your financial account information.Plaid provides technology that enables us to connect with your financial institution in a secure and compliant manner.
By choosing to link your bank account, you acknowledge and agree that:

Plaid’s services are governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to read carefully.
Plaid acts as an independent controller of your financial data in certain jurisdictions and retains information in accordance with its own retention policies.
Through our integration with Plaid, we may collect the following types of data:
Your name and contact details (as registered with your bank)
Bank account type (e.g., checking, savings)
Account and routing numbers (tokenized by Plaid)
Account balances and currency
Recent transactions
Bank institution name and account status
This information is used solely to enable ACH payments, verify your account ownership, prevent fraud, and provide better service experiences.
The financial account data accessed via Plaid is used by Nomad Internet for the following lawful purposes:
To set up and process ACH payments for your subscriptions or modem rental fees
To verify your account ownership and eligibility for services
To reduce fraudulent activity and improve payment reliability
To comply with financial and regulatory obligations under U.S. law
We do not use this data for marketing, resale, or profiling.
Nomad Internet does not store your bank account login credentials at any time.
All sensitive account data (account/routing numbers) is tokenized and encrypted using industry-standard protocols provided by Plaid and our PCI DSS Level 1 payment processor.
We only share this data with:
Our secure payment processor for billing and transaction purposes
Regulatory authorities if legally required to do so (e.g., for fraud, money laundering, or law enforcement investigations).

Right to revoke access: You may disconnect your bank account or revoke Plaid’s access at any time by contacting support or through your account dashboard.
Right to access: You may request a copy of the financial information shared with Nomad Internet.
Right to delete: You may request deletion of your financial account data, subject to applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Right to restrict processing: You may request limits on how we use your financial data, though this may affect your ability to continue using our services.
Our services are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or process bank account data from minors.
